We are thrilled to announce that Charles (C.J.) Everhardt has joined our team as an Environmental Scientist! Please join us in welcoming him to our organization.
C.J. brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our Environmental Assessment Division. He graduated from Louisiana State University in 2018, where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Geology. His love for the environment was nurtured during his camping and wilderness experiences in the Boy Scouts, where he achieved the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout in 2013.
Continuing his academic journey, C.J. pursued his passion for geology at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, where he completed the Geology Field Camp course. He then went on to earn a master’s degree in marine geosciences from the University of Haifa in Israel. During his time there, he conducted groundbreaking research on coastal sediments transported by historical tsunamis in the Eastern Mediterranean. C.J. also actively participated in marine research across the Mediterranean, Red, and Dead Seas, employing scuba diving to collect sediment cores and snorkel surveys to identify submerged archaeological features.
Now back in his hometown of New Orleans, C.J. is ready to apply his extensive knowledge and expertise to make a difference. As an Environmental Scientist, he will play a vital role in our Environmental Assessment Division.
In his free time, C.J. enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, including running, hiking, drone photography, and traveling. When circumstances permit, he indulges in his passion for scuba diving, exploring the fascinating underwater world.
