Louisiana Governor’s Small Business Executive Order

As a Hudson Initiative certified company, Leaaf was excited to see Louisiana’s Procurement Technical Assistance Center”s (LA PTAC) announcement about the Governor’s Small Business Executive Order to increase the dollar threshold for both Hudson Initiative and LA Veteran certified companies.  This executive order means more Louisiana dollars going to Louisiana based businesses.  In their announcement last week, LA PTAC provided the breakdown of the old and new procurement policies implemented in this order as follows:

OLD

$0 – $5000 – no quotes

$5000 – $15,000 – 3 quotes (waiver of 3 quotes if LA Hudson or LA Veteran “responsible and responsive”)

$15,000 – $25,000 – 5 quotes with no waiver for LA Hudson or LA Veteran

Over $25,000 – bid published in LA PAC

NEW after Executive Order

$0 – $10,000 – no quotes

$10,000 – $20,000 – 3 quotes with waiver if LA Hudson or LA Veteran “responsible and responsive”

$20,000 – $30,000 – 5 quotes with waiver if LA Hudson or LA Veteran “responsible and responsive”

Over $30,000 – bid published in LA PAC
