The Ida Petroleum Gasoline site is an abandoned oil refinery which was built and operated by Grand National Oil Company during the 1940s and 1950s. The Ida Gasoline Company acquired the facility in 1957 and operated the refinery until 1966 when it was closed and abandoned.

Some of the famous artists that performed at the venue included Little Richard, Ray Charles, James Brown, and Ike & Tina Turner. Plans are for the Inn to be renovated as a boutique hotel and rock 'n roll museum.
