Environmental Site Assessments

The New Life Center site is part of the downtown Revitalization Plan being developed with the City of Opelousas, the Acadiana Planning Commission (APC), and the Center for Planning Excellence (CPEX) and a target property fro a Local Foods, Local Places grant. 

Prudhomme Truck Tank Service reportedly began operating in the 1940s as a trucking service hauling exploration and production (E&P) waste.  Under contract by the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ), Leaaf

Leaaf was contracted through Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality's (LDEQ's) Underground Storage Tank Division's Abandoned Sites Program to determine the current horizontal and vertical extent of contamination remaining in the soil and groundwater.

Leaaf was contracted by the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) to perform various work orders at Ceramic Shop Tank Farm, a site formerly used by Broussard Chemical Company (BCC). 

Leaaf has conducted semi-annual groundwater assessment monitoring at the Recovery 1 Landfill since 2016. 

The LDEQs objective for the Rice Bowl Tank Farm Site Investigation included collecting additional data and information for use in conjunction with existing data.
