Leaaf Environmental LLC (Leaaf) conducted a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) in accordance with ASTM E 1527-21 at the Slidell Square Shopping Center property as part of a financial transaction. The subject property consisted of an approximately 4.1-acre site that was developed with a commercial shopping center and a Take 5 Oil Change Station. Past uses included rural residential.
The site investigation concluded that there were no recognized environmental conditions (RECs), Historic RECs, Controlled RECs, Vapor Encroachment Conditions (VECs), or significant data gaps in connection with the subject property from past activities conducted at the site or adjacent and surrounding properties. The exterior temporary waster area at the Take 5 Oil Change Station contained de minimis oil stains, but was not considered an REC. No further investigation was recommended at that time.
