Accreditation
Leaaf Environmental, LLC (Leaaf) offers comprehensive Asbestos, Lead, and EPA-accredited training programs in accordance with EPA Model Accreditation Plans (MAP) and Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) regulations.
All courses are designed to meet federal and state requirements and are taught by experienced instructors with practical field expertise.
Important Information:
- All courses are conducted in English only
- Courses are scheduled based on trainer availability
- Asbestos and Lead-Based Paint (RRP) courses require advance notification to the applicable regulatory agencies, typically ranging from two (2) to seven (7) working days prior to the scheduled class date
- Courses require a minimum number of students; if minimum enrollment is not met, the course may still be held at an adjusted cost to cover instruction
- Completion of a Leaaf training course is only the first step toward certification
- Participants must submit an application and fee to LDEQ and/or EPA to obtain certification
- Louisiana Lead Initial Supervisor, Inspector, and Risk Assessor applicants must also pass a State-administered exam
- Standard LDEQ processing time is 30+ days after application submission
- Expedited processing is available through the State for an additional fee
- A Leaaf-administered examination is required for successful course completion
