UST Grant Program Application is Now Open!
If you are currently servicing or working on USTs, you may be interested in knowing that the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) is now accepting applications for its annual Underground Storage Tank (UST) Grant Program—funded by interest on the Motor Fuel Trust Fund. Any eligible applicants can receive up to $150,000 per site for upgrading or replacing their single-wall UST systems:
To be eligible, the applicant must:
- Be domiciled in Louisiana,
- The site be registered with the Department as a single wall underground storage tank system, and
- The applicant complies with and has paid all fees assessed by the Environmental Quality Act, LA R.S. 30:2001, et Seq., and LAC 33:XI.
Key Details:
- Application Window: January 1 – March 31
- First-Come, First-Served Funding
- Annual Funding Cap: $3 million total, $150,000 per site
